Attack of Hannah Heart!!!!!!

After the solar and wind energy scare, everyone was happy, except, of course Dr. Pollution and his followers.
Dr. Pollution was in his lab planning his next evil attack; this time it would be against GoGreen Man. Since GoGreen Man kept blocking his plans, Dr. Pollution wanted to keep an eye on him. The best way to do this would be to have someone spy on him and report on what he does. Dr. Pollution wanted it to be someone close to GoGreen Man; someone GoGreen Man would never suspect. He needed to know who would be the best person to use, so Dr. Pollution called Petrol Pirate. Petrol Pirate owned many businesses in GreenVille and usually knew what was going on.
“Petrol Pirate, you know our plans are always blocked by GoGreen Man, right?” asked Dr. Pollution. At Petrol Pirate’s nod, he continued, “Well, I’m tired of it. I need somebody close to him to watch him. One of his friends has to be our spy. Who is the person closest to GoGreen Man?”
“Oh that’s easy,” said Petrol Pirate. “That would be Hannah Heart.”
“Good. Then that’s who we’ll use to spy on GoGreen Man,” said Dr. Pollution.
“How? You’ll never get Hannah Heart to betray GoGreen Man,” said an incredulous Petrol Pirate.
“Just trust me Petrol Pirate, I can do it. Anything is possible,” retorted Dr. Pollution. “Everything is possible for a great scientist.”
What Dr. Pollution was trying to do was use the same chemicals on Hannah Heart that altered his brain. He was going to make her turn evil.
You see, Dr. Pollution wasn’t always this evil. Years before, he had been trying to find a new chemical compound – unknown to anyone. Unfortunately, the experiment went awry and when it exploded a new chemical compound was created, which then altered Dr. Pollution’s brain.
Dr. Pollution doesn’t even know what the compound is, but he knows it alters the brain and changes a person from good to evil. He still has some of the compound from his own accident and plans to use it on Hannah Heart. Before he can do that though, he needs to capture her. To capture her, he has to know more about her.
“Do you know what Hannah Heart likes?” asked Dr. Pollution asked Petrol Pirate.
“Let me think about it,” he replied. Petrol Pirate thought for a moment and then snapped his fingers. “She likes clothes,” he said. “Hannah Heart will look at the clothes in the window of my Gassy Gal’s Boutique. She doesn’t usually buy any though,” he said as an afterthought.
“Well then, we’ll just have to make sure she buys something! HA! HA! HA!” laughed Dr. Pollution. Something evil had just entered his mind.

A few days later Hannah Heart was enjoying the peace and quiet in GreenVille. She was in the mood to go window shopping, so she took a stroll in downtown GreenVille. A lot of the stores in GreenVille were owned by Petrol Pirate’s family, who were very well known. One of their more exclusive stores was called Gassy Gal’s Boutique. It carried a lot of specialty clothes that weren’t found anywhere else in GreenVille.
It was this store that Hannah Heart was passing when she suddenly stopped. “What is that?!” she exclaimed. “Oh, look at it! It’s the perfect outfit!” She put her hand on her heart in excitement. “I wonder how much it costs,” she asked herself.
Hannah Heart had fallen in love. She was in love with a beautiful suit and liked it so much, she didn't care it was from Petrol Pirate's boutique.
“Oh, what do I do? It’s such a perfect outfit. It seems like it was made just for me, but it’s in Petrol Pirate’s store,” she agonized. Hannah Heart didn’t know what she should do. She wavered back and forth between leaving and going inside the store. Finally, she said, “I’ll just have to go in and see what the fabric is made from. Besides, it might not even look good on me.”
Pushing aside the doubts crowding her mind, Hannah Heart went inside to look at the suit closer. She was surprised to like the way the fabric felt (it was 100% polly petrol – a man made cloth) and better yet, it fit perfectly when she tried it on.
“That’s it! I don’t care where it came from - I just have to have this suit. The color is perfect, the size is perfect, it’s the perfect outfit! It even has an ‘H’ inside a heart shape,” she excitedly told herself. Not only that, the suit came with a pair of matching shoes that fit her feet, perfectly! She was powerless to resist. Refusing to think about where the suit came from, Hannah Heart bought it and wore it out of the store. She couldn't even wait until she got home to put it on!
What Hannah Heart did not know was that Petrol Pirate had made this suit especially for her - pink, with an H (for Hannah, of course) in a heart. Dr. Pollution had done something to the suit, especially for her. He’d put a special new chemical in the polly petrol material to give her an unpleasant surprise.
As soon as Hannah Heart left the store, Petrol Pirate called Dr. Pollution. “It worked Dr. Pollution! She bought it and even wore it out of the store. I just put it on display today and…she already bought it!”
“That’s fine, Petrol Pirate,” said Dr. Pollution, “Now we just need to wait for her to come back in a few days.”
Curious, Petrol Pirate asked him, “What was the stuff you had me put on her clothes?”
“You’ll find out when she comes back to your store,” said a cagey Dr. Pollution. “When she does come, bring her to me. If she doesn’t want to come, tell her I have some medicine for her.”
“Okay,” said a clueless Petrol Pirate.

Hannah Heart was so excited with her new outfit she went to show it to GoGreen Man. “Look at my new outfit, GoGreen Man,” she exclaimed. “Isn’t it great?! I’m about to go show it to Sandra Sunburn and Water Woman. What do you think?” she asked twirling around.
When GoGreen Man saw it, it was obviously made out of polly petrol which meant she must have bought it at a Petrol Pirate store. “It’s nice, Hannah Heart,” said GoGreen Man hesitantly. He didn’t want to hurt his good friend’s feelings, but he was disappointed she’d bought it. “It kind of looks like polly petrol material, is it?” he asked. “You know, Hannah Heart, it causes pollution when that material’s made.”
Hannah Heart was already feeling bad about giving in and buying the suit. It didn't help that GoGreen Man was making her feel worse about her decision. So, instead of agreeing with him, she got upset.
“Well, I’m sorry GoGreen Man that I wanted a suit that was perfect for me,” she huffed. “This is the first time I’ve bought a suit made out of polly petrol – it looks good and feels good, plus it was a good price.” Although it sounded like she was angry, Hannah Heart was actually embarrassed. She’d forgotten about the pollution polly petrol created when it was made and it added to her guilt over buying from Petrol Pirate. It was too much for her, so she whirled away from GoGreen Man and went home upset.

A couple days later, Hannah Heart noticed she was itching a lot. Dr. Pollution's special chemical was starting to work! While she was scratching the itchy areas, she noticed hair on her feet. Not only that, the hair on her arms was longer than normal. “What is going on? Why is there so much hair and why do I itch so much?” Hannah Heart was puzzled.
There were so many things going wrong with her all at once, she began to panic. She wanted to go to GoGreen Man and ask his opinion, but she was embarrassed. Thinking back over the last couple of days, the only thing Hannah Heart remembered doing that was different from usual was wearing her new suit. “Maybe I’m allergic to polly petrol material,” Hannah Heart thought. “I wonder if I can take it back. I really wish I could talk to GoGreen Man about it!” After thinking about what would happen if she talked to GoGreen Man, she knew that he would probably tell her, “I told you so.” She didn’t want to be further embarrassed, so she decided to go back to the store.
Hannah Heart went back to Gassy Gals Boutique to talk to them about returning the suit. When Petrol Pirate saw Hannah Heart he said to himself, “Dr. Pollution was right! She really did come back.” He went out from a back room with a smile on his face to welcome her. “What can I do for you, Hannah Heart?” he asked.
“I think I’m allergic to this material,” she told him. “What shall I do? Do you know of anything that can help me?” She went on to explain what was happening to her.
Petrol Pirate pretended to be concerned about the problems Hannah Heart was having. “I’m sorry to hear about this, Hannah Heart. I have a good friend who can help you with this problem – he’s a great scientist and doctor,” enthused Petrol Pirate. “You can follow me and I’ll take you to him.”
Hannah Heart was suspicious of Petrol Pirate and where he was taking her, but she didn’t have much choice. She really wanted to get the hair off her body as soon as possible, so she agreed to follow him.
“Where are we going?” Hannah Heart wondered. She had never been to this part of GreenVille before.
“We’re almost there,” said Petrol Pirate, trying to calm Hannah Heart. He could see she was beginning to get afraid. “I know you really need the medicine, we’re going just a little further.”
Finally, they arrived at their destination. It was spooky old castle. “What is this place?” trembled Hannah Heart.
“This is where the doctor lives. It will be okay,” consoled Petrol Pirate. Just inside the doorway, Trashinator 2000 and Dr. Pollution were waiting for her.
When Hannah Heart entered the door, Trashinator 2000 quickly grabbed her. “Aaahhhh!” screamed Hannah Heart. She was kicking and screaming trying to get away from Trashinator 2000, but it was too late. She realized she’d walked into a trap. Furious and afraid, she turned to Petrol Pirate, “I should have known better than to trust you, Petrol Pirate. You lied to me!”
“HA! HA! I didn’t lie to you, this IS my close friend. He is a doctor and a scientist. Let me introduce you to…Dr. Pollution,” he said motioning to Dr. Pollution with his hands.
“Welcome to my lab, Hannah Heart,” sneered Dr. Pollution. “Today is a great day for you. You will have my special medicine that will make you better. A new life will begin for you today – a life working for me. HA! HA! HA!”
Boldy, Hannah Heart retorted, “I will never work for you! Let me go! You will be punished if GoGreen Man finds me here.
“Ha! Ha! Ha! Pretty soon I will send you to GoGreen Man and you will spy on him for me,” laughed Dr. Pollution.
“What do you mean, ‘spy on GoGreen Man’,” demanded Hannah Heart. “I would never betray GoGreen Man.”
“Ha! Ha! You will find out very soon that you will betray GoGreen Man,” he said scornfully. “Trashinator 2000, put her into my spraying chamber,” Dr. Pollution ordered. Trashinator 2000 pushed her into the chamber where the chemical that altered his brain would be sprayed. In the hopes it would work just as well on her, he planned to spray it on her entire body.
“No, don’t do this to me!” screamed Hannah Heart, terrified. While Dr. Pollution was preparing the solution for the chamber, Hannah Heart was deeply regretting her rash decisions. If she hadn’t gone into Gassy Gals’ Boutique, she wouldn’t have bought the suit. If she hadn’t bought the suit, she wouldn’t have listened to Petrol Pirate and been tricked into going to Dr. Pollution’s lab. “Why did I do this? If only I had listened to GoGreen Man,” she moaned to herself. She hoped and prayed he would find her before it was too late. Hannah Heart had no idea what Dr. Pollution was going to do to her, but she knew she couldn’t trust him.

“I was too hard on Hannah Heart,” said GoGreen Man. He was at work, but all he could think about was how upset Hannah Heart had been when she left his house. “I need to go check on her after I get off of work.”

Finally, the chamber was ready. The only thing left to do was to push the button. It was an exciting moment for Dr. Pollution as he went to the control chamber to release the chemicals.
Curious as to what was going on, Petrol Pirate asked him, “What are you doing?”
“You just wait and see. I’m about to spray a chemical on Hannah Heart that altered my brain. It should do the same thing to her! HA! HA! HA!” said Dr. Pollution with barely controlled glee.
Finally, Petrol Pirate understood what Dr. Pollution had been planning. He thought Dr. Pollution was a true genius.
With excitement, Dr. Pollution released the chemical. Hannah Heart desperately tried to hold her breath to avoid breathing in the chemicals. It was useless, the chemicals sprayed down and coated her. No matter how hard she tried to avoid it, the chemicals started affecting her brain. With a faint, Hannah Heart collapsed.
“She collapsed,” yelled Petrol Pirate. “Is she going to die?”
“Ha! Ha! Ha!” laughed Dr. Pollution. “Pretty soon she’ll get up and she will be a different person - an evil person!”
Quite a while later, Hannah Heart got up. Dr. Pollution expected to see or hear something evil come from her, but when he went to see her he got very disappointed. Hannah Heart seemed to have lost all her memory. She didn’t say anything.
“What happened?” demanded Dr. Pollution. “Why didn’t my chemical work?” he yelled. “What went wrong?”
Hannah Heart was just standing without even blinking her eyes. Dr. Pollution’s chemical mix affected her differently - they didn't work the way they were supposed to!
Dr. Pollution's chemical mix affected Hannah Heart differently because her heart and mind were so sweet and pure. Because of this, her body was resistant to evil. Hannah Heart, instead of turning evil, like Dr. Pollution had planned, lost her memory instead! Poor Hannah Heart; she was helpless.
Petrol Pirate was wondering what happened, “She doesn’t say anything.” He waved his hand in front of her face. “Hel-lo! Do you remember me?” he asked. Hannah Heart didn’t respond at all. “Dr. Pollution, she doesn’t seem to remember me. What are you going to do with her now?”
“She’s of no use to me this way. Just drop her off in the street. Send her to GoGreen Man. I don’t care what you do, just get rid of her,” roared Dr. Pollution. He was extremely upset with the failed experiment and didn’t know why the chemicals affected her differently.
Petrol Pirate said, “If we just drop her off, she can tell GoGreen Man what we did to her.”
“That’s dumb. She doesn’t remember anything. Just drop her off!” he demanded.
So, Petrol Pirate dropped her off in the middle of GreenVille and left her. Poor Hannah Heart didn't know where she was or where she lived.

After work, GoGreen Man left to go see Hannah Heart. When he got there, she didn’t answer so he decided to look for her around GreenVille. On his way, he called Sandra Sunburn, a good friend of Hannah Heart’s.
“I haven’t see Hannah Heart in a couple of days,” commented Sandra Sunburn.
Now GoGreen Man was getting worried. He hoped nothing bad had happened to Hannah Heart. As he was searching for her, he saw someone who looked like Hannah Heart standing in the road.
He quickly went to check and see - it was Hannah Heart! There was something strange about her though. She didn’t respond to his questions and looked confused.
“Hannah Heart, it’s me, GoGreen Man. What are you doing standing here?” he asked. “What happened to you?”
She just stood there looking at him with a blank look on her face.
GoGreen Man knew there was something definitely wrong with Hannah Heart and immediately took her to see his good friend, Professor Fusionstein.
When Professor Fusionstein saw Hannah Heart, he was very surprised. “What happened to her?” he asked.
“I don’t know Professor Fusionstein,” said GoGreen Man shaking his head. “She won’t talk and acts like she doesn’t recognize me.”
“Doesn’t recognize you?” asked Professor Fusionstein, incredulous. “It seems as though she has lost her memory.” He tried to get her attention. “Hannah Heart, do you remember me?” he asked her. “Somehow she seems to have lost all her memory. It’s like amnesia where you lose your memory - whether a little or all of it. But, I don’t know how it happened.”
Professor Fusionstein went on to say, I don't really know what is going on, but maybe her brain has been injured in some way. I need to take some tests, so I can be sure.” So, Professor Fusionstein put her in the GRI (Green Ray Imaging - sees the inside of a person) machine to run his tests.
It was puzzling, Professor Fusionstein couldn't find anything wrong with her. The test results came back normal, but anyone could see that Hannah Heart was anything but normal. “I suspect a virus, but nothing showed up in her blood.” Professor Fusionstein told GoGreen Man. He also said that he needed more time to figure out what going on with Hannah Heart and to just take her home. He thought maybe being there would bring back some memories.
Disheartened, GoGreen Man took Hannah Heart home. He felt horrible because he thought it was his fault this had happened to her. He thought it was because he had been disappointed with her about the clothes.
GoGreen Man was determined to be nice to Hannah Heart and take care of her. All at once, he had a suspicion. The clothes Hannah Heart had bought were too perfect. There were not many people in GreenVille who would want a pink suit with an H inside a heart shape. It seemed to GoGreen Man that someone was targeting Hannah Heart.
As soon as he got her home, he went searching for the clothes. GoGreen Man couldn't find them anywhere. It was strange, she loved these clothes, so where would she have put them? He looked around one more time and finally saw the shoes that came with the outfit peeking out of her closet.
The reason GoGreen Man couldn’t find the clothes was because Hannah Heart had already taken them to Petrol Pirate (who then kept them). Fortunately, she had forgotten to return the shoes that had come free with the suit. GoGreen Man hoped the shoes could help Professor Fusionstein figure out what was wrong with Hannah Heart.
GoGreen Man called Sandra Sunburn to come watch Hannah Heart while he went to see Professor Fusionstein. As soon as he arrived at Professor Fusionstein’s he told him he’d found the shoes that went with the suit.
“I’ve been looking at her blood sample and really needed some more information. This is a great find, GoGreen Man,” praised Professor Fusionstein. He quickly tested the shoes to see if there was anything unusual about them. There was! Professor Fusionstein noticed an unusual chemical on the shoes’ polly petrol fabric.
Looking at the chemical more closely, Professor Fusionstein realized that particular chemical combination caused skin irritation and hair growth.
“This is unusual. Clothes don’t usually have something like this put on them. Someone intentionally put the chemicals on these shoes. If Hannah Heart wore them, she probably had itching and hair growth,” commented Professor Fusionstein. “Do you know where she bought the shoes?” he asked.
GoGreen Man was disgusted, “She got them free with her suit at Petrol Pirate’s Gassy Gals Boutique. That’s it. Petrol Pirate did this to her.” He was furious.
Professor Fusionstein disagreed, “This isn’t something that will cause memory loss. Something else happened to Hannah Heart. What it was, I don’t know yet, but we’ll figure it out.”
GoGreen Man couldn’t help but think Dr. Pollution was behind all this. He really wanted to retaliate (get back at him), but he knew he couldn't. It went against what he believed; he believed in justice, not revenge. GoGreen Man left Professor Fusionstein so the professor could run more tests and went to his good friend, Hannah Heart. The only thing he could do right now was just be with her.
Sandra Sunburn, Water Woman and Roger Recycle were at her house and very worried about her. When GoGreen Man walked in the door they asked him, “What happened to her?”
“We don’t know right now, but Professor Fusionstein is trying to figure it out and cure her,” said GoGreen Man sadly. All the friends said they would help as much as they could. GoGreen Man was thankful for their offers.
GoGreen Man watched over her day and night praying for her healing. He hoped nothing serious had happened to her. “I should have been kinder to her,” he moaned. He regretted not calling her back when she left him home angry.

Days later, he had a surprise visit from Professor Fusionstein. GoGreen Man was pleased to see him. “Professor Fusionstein, did you find a cure for Hannah Heart?” he asked optimistically.
“I have some good news and some bad news,” cautioned Professor Fusionstein. “First of all, I truly believe this is the work of Dr. Pollution. He is the only scientist I know that would do something like this. Somehow, Hannah Heart came into contact with a chemical element I’ve never seen before. It isn't even on the periodic table, so I needed more time to figure out which chemicals were used. The good news is that I figured out the problem. I know what affected Hannah Heart, but I don’t know how to cure it. It was DNA mutation.”
GoGreen Man was furious when he heard the news. “Why would Dr. Pollution do this to Hannah Heart? She’s never done anything to him!” he exhorted.
Professor Fusionstein just continued with what he’d found out. “The chemical that Dr. Pollution gave Hannah Heart directly affected the DNA in her brain. I’m guessing it was supposed to make her an evil person. But because Hannah Heart has such a pure heart, it didn't affect her that way – her DNA was resistant to evil and shut down. Instead of changing her personality, it made her lose her memory.”
By the time Professor Fusionstein finished explaining everything, GoGreen Man just wanted to know if there was a cure. “Can you do something to help her? Can you bring her memory back?” he asked urgently.
“Unfortunately not,” Professor Fusionstein shook his head. “I need a lot more time before I can find a cure. But I’m pretty sure I will be able to help her get her memory back, temporarily.”
In order to bring her memory back, Professor Fusionstein had to control the RNA (RNA, simply put, is kind of related to DNA maybe like brother and sister). “I’ve made an RNA pill which should help unlock Hannah Heart’s DNA. This means, according to my calculations, her memory will come back,” explained Professor Fusionstein.
“This is great news!” exclaimed GoGreen Man.
Professor Fusionstein told him, “I brought some pills with me. Let’s give one to her now.”
Anxious to see what would happen, GoGreen Man went to get Hannah Heart some water to take the pill. After she took the pill, her eyes started looking more clear and alert. She was still confused, but Hannah Heart did seem to notice GoGreen Man.
Intently watching Hannah Heart’s every move, GoGreen Man noticed a tear running down her face. She finally opened her mouth and weakly called to him, “GoGreen Man…GoGreen Man…”
GoGreen Man quickly jumped to her side, “Yes, it’s me GoGreen Man!”
Regaining some strength she asked him, “What is going on? Why is everyone here?”
Everyone in the room shouted with happiness because their Hannah Heart was coming back.
GoGreen Man picked her up, spun her around and shouted for joy. He asked her what had happened to her.
“I’m truly sorry, GoGreen Man but all I remember is going into Dr. Pollution's lab.” But Hannah Heart wasn’t finished. She continued on, “I shouldn't have bought the clothes from Petrol Pirate's store. I should have listened to you.”
GoGreen Man assured her, “It’s okay Hannah Heart. It’s all in the past. I’m sorry, too.” He was still furious with Dr. Pollution though and told Professor Fusionstein he’d go to Dr. Pollution’s lab and capture him. He wanted to bring him to justice.
Professor Fusionstein disagreed. “GoGreen Man, we don’t have enough proof to do that. Once we have enough proof of the things he’s done, I will help you capture him later. Make sure Hannah Heart takes her RNA pill. She has to take it every day without fail, until I find a complete cure for her.” GoGreen Man agreed to help her remember.

The news quickly spread to all Hannah Heart’s friends. They brought her flowers and pink hearts to tell her to get well soon. She was told how much everyone missed her cheerful smile. Hannah Heart thanked everyone for taking care of her when she was sick, but inside was embarrassed by all the attention. None of this would have happened if she had stayed away from Petrol Pirate’s store. Hannah Heart had learned her lesson;, she would not go against her conscience again.
