Chapter Three
Dr. Pollution was so excited to have captured Hannah Heart and it was a lot easier than he'd thought it would be. His plan for Hannah Heart was to capture her and change her from a sickeningly good person (in his mind) into an evil person. He wanted to use her to spy on and destroy her good friend, GoGreen Man. How could Dr. Pollution do this? Well, as you know, he used to be a good scientist who would experiment with chemicals. One day he had been working on a special chemical mixture, and it exploded on him. The special combination had altered his brain to make him into an evil person and he hoped the mixture would do the same thing to Hannah Heart. Actually, he thought it was the perfect medicine for Hannah Heart.
Dr. Pollution was smiling, thinking about all of this as he walked into the laboratory where the jail capsule holding Hannah Heart was kept. (The capsule was designed to dump chemicals on her.) When she saw Dr. Pollution come in with his evil smile, she got really scared but she couldn't do anything (poor Hannah Heart!). Dr. Pollution walked over the control room in his lab and turned a few knobs. Oh, no...he just programmed the capsule to dump his chemical mixture on her. Immediately (when it touched her), she started to transform from the sweet Hannah Heart to a....uh, oh...she didn't turn evil! The specially prepared chemicals didn't work they way they were supposed to! Hannah Heart, instead of turning evil, like Dr. Pollution had planned, lost her memory instead!
Dr. Pollution's chemical mix affected Hannah Heart differently because her heart and mind were so sweet and pure. Because of this sweetness, her body was resistant to evil. Dr. Pollution was so upset (actually, he was VERY upset!) the chemicals made her lose her memory, he thought she was of no use to him. He wanted her evil, not forgetful! Instead of locking her back up, he instructed the Trashinator 2000 to let her go. The Trashinator dropped her off in the middle of GreenVille. Poor Hannah Heart. She didn't know where she was or where she lived. Oh, Hannah Heart, what will happen to you? Will GoGreen Man see you? Will he be able to help you? To be continued....
