Dr. Pollution and Pol' Tick Al had to do something quickly to change the minds of Greenville's citizens. Pol' Tick Al had many supporters inside Greenville (like Waste Woman) who would definitely vote (no matter what) for Petrol City. It was because of those supporters that Pol' Tick Al still thought the vote might be close, even though GoGreen Man ruined his chances for a definite victory. He met with Dr. Pollution to see if he had any ideas that would help him win. Dr. Pollution had just the thing - like Professor Fusionstein, Dr. Pollution had been working on a new project - a sleeping virus. This virus could be carried into the homes of Greenville's citizens by the Gas Goon and it would put them into a temporary deep sleep. When they would wake up, the votes would have already been made - making Petrol City a major future attraction in Greenville. Pol' Tick Al and Dr. Pollution agreed that the people who needed sleep the most were Hannah Heart, Water Woman, Roger Recycle and pretty much all of GoGreen Man's closest friends and supporters.
When Hannah Heart was getting ready to go to City Hall to vote against Petrol City, the Gas Goon slipped into her home. She sniffed the air, the rich scent of chocolate filled the air around her and she closed her eyes and breathed deeply enjoying the delicious smell. As she did so, she inhaled the sleep virus which then made her get sleepier and sleepier until she felt she should take a short nap before going out. Dr. Pollution had added a perfect chocolate scent to the sleep virus (wasn't that smart?!) to get people to breathe it in...and breathe deeply!
Meanwhile, GoGreen Man was waiting for his friends at Greenville's City Hall, so they go vote together. There was a big problem, none of his friends showed up! What was going on? Where were his friends? He told his g-dron (good nanodron) to go quickly check on Hannah Heart's house. The g-dron quickly flew to Hannah Heart's home, where it discovered her asleep on her couch. The g-dron tried to wake her up, but she flopped around not waking up. The g-dron quickly went back to GoGreen Man to give him the news. GoGreen Man was shocked! How could Hannah Heart be asleep! The future of Greenville was at stake - something had to be wrong. But it was too late to do anything, the time to vote was almost over, so he went in by himself.
That night, GVTN's news announced that the Petrol City plan had won by a few votes. That meant victory for Pol' Tick Al (and of course, Dr. Pollution and the Petrol Pirate!). GoGreen Man was very sad because he worried about Greenville's future. He thought and thought about the fact that all his friends didn't show up to vote - and he hadn't heard from them. He decided to find out what happened... What will happen to Greenville's future? Will GoGreen Man find out what happened to his friends? To be continued...
